Hijama Sunnah Points

Hijama is the best therapy that cures intense pain in the body and joint aches. It is a recommended treatment by medical experts. To get the best results from Hijama therapy, you need to follow some hijama sunnah points according to Prophet Mohammed (ﷺ).

When Prophet Mohammed (ﷺ) was poisoned, he chose Hijama for 3 points on the KAHIL. It is believed that the cup was kept behind the heart on the left side of KAHIL. The third point must have been applied either lower to the point or on the right side of KAHIL.

According to the narration of Abdul Razzaq, “A Jewish woman was brought before Prophet Mohammed (ﷺ) when he was in Khyber. Prophet Mohammed (ﷺ) asked the woman, what is this? The woman replied that it is a gift not to say that it was from the charity so that he will not eat it. 

Prophet Mohammed (ﷺ) and his companions ate from the sheep and Mohammed (ﷺ) said, “Stop eating”. Sheep was poisoned but would not harm a true prophet. Mohammed (ﷺ) used Hijama three times on the Kahil or upper part of the back. He also suggested that the companions must follow cupping therapy. But some companions died after following Hijama therapy.

What are Hijama Sunnah Points?

Normally, cupping therapy can be done starting from any area of the body. But according to the Sunnah of the Prophet, he conducted cupping on some specific areas of the body. 

There are 9 sunnah cupping points in Hijama where Rasool Allah (ﷺ) conducted Hijama therapy. All these sunnah points have various benefits. Look at the different Sunnah points of Hijama:

1. Head Sunnah point 

Head Sunnah point or Crown Point is called Yafookh in the Arabic language. It is also known as the mother of diseases. The First Hijama sunnah point is situated at the top of the head.

2. Neck Sunnah point 

The second and third sunnah points of hijama are located at the back of the neck area under the hairline. This point relates to Feng Chi and is called Al-Akhda’ain’. This sunnah point cues health issues such as runny nose, toothaches, and sore throat.

3. Shoulder sunnah points 

Another point on the list of hijama points sunnah is the shoulder sunnah point. It is located between the shoulder blades. It is one of the best points for removing toxins from the body and muscular pain, back pain, and high BP levels.

4. Fifth and sixth points 

The fifth and sixth cupping sunnah points are called as Al-Katifain. These points are situated on the right and left sides of the fourth point. The fifth and sixth points help in curing pain of muscle and skin issues and strokes.

5. Waist Hijama Sunnah Points  

The seventh and eighth sunnah points are called as Al-Waraq. These sunnah points in hijama reduce problems with urinary infection, back pain, kidney problems, constipation, and low blood circulation.

6. Foot sunnah point 

The last sunnah point or the ninth point is the Foot sunnah point. It is located at the top of your feet. This foot sunnah point helps to eliminate many problems such as swelling, fertility issues, gout-related issues, weak muscles, and Arthritis.
